Windows Phone 7 to be Integrated with Xbox 360

Microsoft has annouced that its Windows Phone 7 OS will be able to intergrate with the Xbox 360.

Vesa-Matti Paananen, a Microsoft Business development executive from Finland said, “The idea is not to make a mobile version of Halo as such, the idea is to extend gaming to mobile” at a Monday Mobile event Tallinn, Estonia. Paananen also said that games could be synchronised in the cloud so that players might require to accomplish a task on their mobile device before they could go to a new level on the Xbox 360.

Paanenan also said that the company’s “three screen approach” refers to mobile, personal computers and consoles. He said that “We are going to announce more on the IPTV side, but right now the third screen refers to the game console".

What do you think about console/mobile integration? Would you sync your mobile device to your console or are you happy just sticking to one device for your games? Leave your thoughts below.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
