‘iPad 2’ set to come with mini USB?

Whether you like Apple's 'dock connector' or not it seems likely that it's here to stay. Sure USB would be nice but I can't see Apple making a U-turn anytime soon. Analysts at Goldman Sachs however have predicted that the next iPad will come primed with mini USB capability. The lack of USB was a main point of moaning for iPad shunners and has been one of the winning ingredients in the so called 'iPad killer's' set- up but it would be unusual for Apple to back down. They've obviously left USB off the iPad for a reason.

The analysts insist they hold some details of Apple’s next-generation iPad. They claim the next iPad will have at least one camera (any analysts who's heard of FaceTime would say that), a lighter design and a 9.7 inch display along with the surprising USB port.

Whether the next iPad comes in the form predicted by Goldman Sachs or not, If speculation is accurate, then this new iPad should begin to ship early in the spring of 2011 whilst recent reports hint that the 7-inch model is almost ready, the analysts claim that the device isn’t finished and might not necessarily be unveiled at the same time.

Foxconn will also continue to be the manufacturer of the device. The rumours seem pretty believable a camera and a lighter design is exactly what most people are expecting but do you really think we'll get USB?

Let us know what you think.
