Halo Reach knocked of topspot by F1 2010

What's top of the UK gaming chart right now: Halo Reach right? (You know, the last game in one of the most talked about game franchises of all time.) No of course it's not. After only a week on the topspot Halo Reach has now
(excuse the pun) been overtaken By Codemaster’s F1 2010.

It's a big surprise with gamers antciapaing Halo to hold a long reign at the top of the charts? Sports games are popular sure, but the latest addition to the F1 family, have more people really bought that than Halo? The UK game chart says so. Here's a run down of the whole top ten to give you an idea of how the gamign world is shaping up.

 1 – F1 2010
 2 – Halo: Reach
3 – Dead Rising 2
 4 – Civilization V
 5 – Sports Champions
6 – Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
7 – Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
 8 – Mafia II
 9 – Toy Story 3
 10 – Final Fantasy XIV

So does this mean there's a problem with Halo? Are people tierd of it now? I suppose other top titles like Dead Rising 2 and the long awaited Civlization V are also below F1 in the charts; maybe people genuianly do love  motor-racing, (More than jumping around with rocket launchers, punching zombies or conquering the world.)

What do  you think of Halo's premature second place position?

It’s multi platform!!!! of course it’s going to sell more!!

Well clearly F1 was going to sell more, its on all the consoles. Halo is for xbox only. Its just going to be like cod, it will sell more because its on all of the consoles and on pc/mac. If you look at the sales for xbox games only Halo Reach has sold more than F1 2010 on the xbox.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
