EA See Sony’s Playstation 3 Potential to Beat Microsoft’s Xbox 360

With games console sales as they are right now, you would think that Microsoft's  Xbox 360 is going to be staying ahead of the game against Sony's Playstation 3 in the UK. However, EA's European senior VP Jens Uwe Intat seems to think otherwise, seeing the potential of the powerful Blu-ray console for catching up despite the slow start in sales.

In an interview with MVC, Intat; "We could certainly see Sony come back - in the UK it's still a head-to-head competition between Playstation and Xbox, but on the continent Sony is traditionally stronger than Microsoft."

Intat was glad for this competition though, saying that, "as long as they're competing to get more consumers in, there are more people we can sell games to."

In regards to the Wii, Intat said that despite it (and the DS's) drop in hardware sales, they will not be giving up on the Wii. However, he brings up that Microsoft and Sony are their more successful partners because they are more successful with third party games.

It seems that with the Playstation Move vs Microsoft Kinect war kicking off, and things looking to be going in Sony's favour, will we also be seeing a drastic rise in the console sales? Leave your thoughts below.
