Windows Phone 7 May Get Launched on October 21


The launch date for Windows Phone 7 is still shrouded in mystery. Earlier rumors had suggested that Microsoft is looking to launch Windows Phone 7 on October 11 in an NYC event. However, it looks like that the date has now been pushed back to November 8th. If the 8th November rumors are true, then it means that Europe will get to see Windows Phone 7 before it hits the US market.

The company is rumored to schedule the European launch of the mobile OS on October 21st. the company is also said to be planning a number of launch events across Europe for promoting the OS. London will get to see the extravaganza which will feature a local radio station. Orange is also likely to be featured as a launch partner.

So far, things look good for Windows Phone 7. A couple of good handsets sporting the operating system have also surfaced. Noticeable ones are HTC HD7 and LG E900. In the US, HD7 is expected to collaborate with T-Mobile, whereas HTC Mondrian is likely to go with AT&T. The release version of Windows Phone 7 will feature support for YouTube and Twitter.
