MacBook Air, touted as the world's thinnest laptop, has been around for three years now. It is time for revamping the model, or at least for starting therumors about the newer model. The notebook has got only two minor revisions in its entire lifespan. MacBook Air is primarily aimed at business travelers and seems like 13.3 inches notebook with 3 pound of weight is getting too heavy for them. So, now Apple is looking to come up with a MacBook Air 11.6-inch LED Display. However, we are going to take these claims with a big pinch of salt.
Apparently, Apple's Taiwanese component Supply Chain claimed that the company is putting orders for new components and the further corroboration came from news from Digitimes. Digitimes reported that Quanta has received a big order from Apple. Quanta is the primary notebook manufacturer for Apple. We are not convinced but we would like to believe all these rumors. Afterall, the last update Air received was back in 2009, when the base price for the notebook was reduced from $1, 7999 to $1, 499.
