The last thing we heard regarding the EVO 4G’s 30fps cap on video output was that HTC had stated quite frankly that it simply couldn’t be increased.
But it seems they were telling porkies.
Over at engadget is a couple screenshots showing details of the latest upgrades for both the EVO and the Hero.
The EVO’s update includes fixes for the calendar issue, the 30fps cap, as well as a fix for reboot problem involving GPS, and multiple Gmail sync that was messed up in the Froyo update.
The update is available now at the Sprint’s official website but the site only mentions the calendar and Gmail sync fixes, so it’s possible they’re trying to keep the other two low-key to prevent undue questions and curiosity from folks as they upgrade. Users are being asked to report the affects of the update in order to clear up the confusion.

Is the new OTA available through the System Updates menu? I have tried but my EVO has not found any new updates yet.. Anyone else get it yet?
