The Trip and Trip Sound – take the load off while travelling

School has stopped being out, the weather is getting colder, and all the smart childless bunnies will be off on late summer holidays to hotter climates. Well done you! But there’ll still be inevitable delays on British Airways, and you’ll end up standing about for hours. Or will you?! Well, not if you’re pack a Travelteq Trip, because this suitcase is also a chair AND the Trip Sound version is even a sound system!

In an idea similar to the kiddie cases with wheels and a happy face so they can sit on them wherever they want, the Trip and Sound Trip are high tech cases small enough to fit in the overhead locker as hand luggage, but with flip out back legs where the wheels attach to make it into an instant chair! No more aching legs. And both have a mobile office kangaroo pouch (ie – zip open pocket) on the front where you can store your laptop etc to be retrieved easily to avoid having to rummage in your luggage.

Even better, the Trip Sound version incorparates speakers (so you can annoy other travellers by playing yourself a theme song á la those annoying teenagers on trains) the battery of which also servers as a charger for your iPhone or Blackberry.

Of course, these things aren’t cheap. The regular Trip will cost you 595 Euros (£509), and the Trip Sound costs 650 Euros (£556) (yes the computer I’m using at the mo has no Euro key!). But hey you can sit on it AND play music through it. Doesn’t that make it worth it?!

Erm…

I may just wait until Argos does a cheaper version…

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
