Playstation Move Stripped: An Easy to Modify Controller?

As many of you will know, the Playstation Move was released last week, so it shouldn't be surprising that it's already had pictures of it naked posted on the internet. The exposure was revealed by those clever chaps at ifixit who have given a few bits of interesting info on the new controller.

It was apparently fairly easy to take apart and supposedly very easy to repair. The internal battery can be easily replaced it seems as well as the controller's trigger. The LED has also been confirmed to use a heatsink that will make the controller more efficient, and last longer. However, a qualm the site has with the controller is that the vibrator motor and LED are soldered to the motherboard, so moving them around is pretty much impossible.

With this though, can we be expecting some cool modified controllers appearing soon with the ease of taking the controller apart and putting it back together? Are you enjoying your perfectly intact controller or do you know of any cool modifications to the Playstation Move? Leave your thoughts below.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
