The Samsung Galaxy Tab has been the most anticipated, impressive and best rival to Apple's iPad, which has definitely been helped by the great OS Android Froyo. However, there is a new report that you may be able to update the OS, but not to Gingerbread, but to Chrome OS instead.
This was revealed by the Sunday Time's ingear section which claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab's OS "can be replaced with Chrome, when that arrives, though owners who aren't tech savvy should have this upgrade carried out by a professional."
Unfortunately this claim has no source to back itself up, and it's very unlikely that Google would do this unless some sort of fusion with Android was in mind. However, what do you think of the idea that the Samsung Galaxy Tab could run Chrome OS? Would an OS aimed for Laptop/netbooks work well with a tablet device? Leave your thoughts below.

The brand new samsung galaxy tab looks awesome it seems that just about every company is now offering it’s own Personal computer tablet. i havent made up my mind weather to get a ipad tablet or some other tab. Nevertheless i’ve got to admit that the Samsung is pritty tempting. Brian from the United kingdom
