Apple has announced the release of its iOS 4.2 beta to developers to test out today. The beta which boasts AirPrint wireless printing technology is expected to be ready for public release this November, available for the iPad, the iPhone and the iPod Touch (all devices should be able to use the AirPrint feature).
"AirPrint is Apple's powerful new printing architecture that matches the simplicity of iOS--no set up, no configuration, no printer drivers and no software to download," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. "iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users can simply tap to printtheir documents or photos wirelessly to an HP ePrint printer or to a printer shared on a Mac or PC"
Fellow Gadget site Engadget have managed to get hold of the developers iOS 4.2 beta, and according to them the newest iOS update seems to be working well on the iPad (although they unfortunately haven't used to new AirPrint feature).
