Market share prices have shifted in reaction to the changes in the smartphone industry.
According to comScore, Apple's share of the smartphone market has reduced over the last quarter, whilst Google's Android has risen.
Apple were sitting at 25.1 percent at the end of April 2010 and had then slipped down to 23.8 percent at the end of July.
Google on the other hand has increased their share, which was standing at 12 percent at the end of April 2010, to 17 percent at the end of July.
Though RIM has been quite and Torch sales have been lower than expected Rim are still in the lead with a 39.3 percent market share. Though there was a slight dip as expected.
Smartphone sales in general have risen with 53.4 million people in the U.S. owning smartphones by July, up 11 percent from April.
Microsoft accounted for 11.8 percent of Smartphone subscribers a figure which will no doubt rise significantly with the emergence of the Windows Phone 7 handsets.
Palm held a minute 4.9 percent still enough to keep them in 5th place.
No surprises there then, things will get interesting towards the end of the year when we will see if Android and Microsoft have grown even more and if Nokia can jump into the picture with their new handsets and the MeeGo if it even gets released before 2011.
