Motorola Milestone 2 to be Released in the UK this Year

The Motorola Milestone 2 has now been announced to be coming out sometime this year in the UK along with its specs. If you have no idea what the Milestone 2 is, don't worry it's not just some out of the blue phone. For a while now the phone has been available across the pond under the name Droid 2, and there is very little difference between the two.

The Milestone 2's specs include a 3.7-inch WVGA screen, a 1GHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera with flash which can record 720p HD video, 8GB of internal storage (along with a microSD slot), and Android 2.2 (which has been skinnedby Motorola's MotoBlur software). The device can also be used as a 3G mobile hotspot for up to 5 devices, but is according to a Motorola spokesperson the app will be network dependant which likely means you will have to pay extra to use it.

The device itself is looking very nice, with a slide-out QWERTY board which has been much improved upon the original Milestone's, with raised keys and a generally nice aesthetic to it.

No word on prices yet, but don't expect anything cheap. The Smartphone is looking great however, and if you've beenon the wall about what kind of Smartphone you want, the Milestone 2 may knock you down. What do you think of the device? Leave your thoughts below.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
