Tonight's Apple Event Streaming Exclusively for their Device Users

The Apple obsessed amongst us can rejoice today, as Mr Jobs has thrown a spanner in the works for today's launch event. Usually the event will be full of people taking every quote Steve Jobs makes and posting it on their site as soon as possible with a video of the event appearing on the Apple website soon after.

Today at 6pm UK time, the event will be streamed via HTTP live streaming on www.apple.com for those who are interested. Oh wait, there's a catch. You can only view the event on certain Apple devices. If you have a Mac running on Safari on Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard, an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad.

It's likely only someone with one of these devices is going to be interested in the live streaming, but it seems Apple want to keep this event only to their customers only. I guess I'll be stealing my brother's iPod Touch if I'm going to be viewing this tonight. Will any of you be watching the event tonight? What are you hoping for? Leave your thoughts below.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
