Nokia Offers N8 in the U.S. for $549

Nokia has announced the availability of its N8 phones in the US market. The phone is up for pre-order on the Nokia website.Although, be ready to fork out $549 for the latest entrant in the increasingly-crowding mobile market. The phone-box will have usual accessories such as battery and assorted cables. However, the company has also thrown in a Nokia Stereo Headset for easing the pain of shelling out 500-odd bucks.

Nokia N8 features 3.5 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 360×640 resolution. The phone also has gorilla glass display to save your screen from scratches. Coupled with a 12 mp in-built camera with 4000×3000 pixels resolution, this phone seems like a sweet deal. The camera sports Carl Zeiss optics and is equipped for HSPA and WiFi connectivity. Its second camera is VGA videocall camera. N8 runs on Symbian ^3 OS and houses ARM 11 680 MHz processor. Apart from all these features, the phone provides 3G HSDPA connectivity for fast and smooth internet browsing experience.

N8 is expected to be distributed in the UK via Vodafone. The company has announced that it will offer the phone in all its 5 colors including a flamboyant green color. N8 is likely to be launched in the month of September and will be available in major markets globally.
