Youtube has taken its first few steps into the movie business as they have launched YouTube Movies today on the UK site.
They have secured over 400 films from studio’s and distributers like Sony and Blinkbox. There are some decent films on it, but it's also your one-stop shop for terrible b-movies. How about fan-made, The Hunt for Gollom - which was made as homage to Peter Jackson, and was made for a $5,000.
This comes hot-on-the-heels of their YouTube Rentals service in the US earlier this year, but at the moment the UK service is free and ad-supported.
YouTube movies feature's films from a whole host of US Stars including Demi Moore, Rob Lowe, Jodie Foster and Brad Pitt. As well more explicit flicks like Naked Run (about a nudist who battles a corrupt congressman) you'll need to login to YouTube to prove you are over 18.
YouTube previously added on-demand TV shows from Channel 4 and Channel 5. YouTube says it may add paid for films to the UK version of the YouTube Movies site in the future.
Take a look at the selection of terrible films and hit the comments below, we're about to watch OC Babes and the Slasher of Zombietown.
