There are Facebook apps for all the top mobile operating systems. BlackBerry, Facebook and Android and it must be said that the later isn't the most attractive or efficient of apps. Now we know why.
Joe Hewitt, the man who develops the mobile apps for Facebook has been moaning about the Android OS on Twitter. His anger stems from the Android development process because it is apparently 'too hard to use.'
In one of his tweets, Hewitt said:
“Android tools are horrendous, OS is hideous"¦"
And it’s not the first tweet.
“Once a day or so it hits me that I am writing Java, and I cry a little,"
“The more I work with Android the more it reminds me of Windows…as in, it’s really flexible, agnostic, and developer-friendly, but also really sloppily designed.”
He’s also had a pop at Apple, "The absence of big brother telling me what to do gives it a slight edge.”
“I am philosophically opposed to the existence of their review process.”
How long until he gets replaced then? Place your bets.
PS. It’s great that he moaned on Twitter when he works for Facebook isn’t it.
