Windows Phone 7 SDK Official Release Date Confirmed…Until then Download the Free Beta Version

Many of us have been waiting in anticipation to hear more news about the Windows Phone 7 handsets and when the Microsoft will release its Windows Phone Developers Tools. Although, there has been no official release date for the handsets apart from hinting a ‘holiday release’, it would appear that Windows aren’t remaining as about the release of the Windows Phone Developers Tools.  They have confirmed that the official release is set for September 16th which is great news for developers wanting to create apps for Windows Phone 7.

However, if you’re a developer and think that the official release doesn’t leave you enough time to get your apps and games ready for the Windows Phone Marketplace launch then you can give yourself a bit of head start by downloading the beta version of the Windows Phone 7 toolkit here.

There have already been 300,000 downloads of the Windows Phone Developers tool, which shows that there is definitely a lot of interest already so if you want to be part of this then click here to download the free toolkit and start inspiring us with your fantastic apps and games.
