Verizon is pushing out an OTA (over-the-air update) for the Motorola DROID 2 starting today.
The new update is just a small update that allows text and picture message scrolling along with a few minor tweaks and improvements. As well as the ability to scroll through messages, the update also allows streamlined set up of Visual Voice Mail feature, improved contact sync with Corporate Exchange categories and groups and accurate contact pictures when reviewing Recent Call Log.
However the reported signal problems with the Droid haven’t been addressed in this update although a fix for that could arrive is rumoured to be arriving in the next few weeks. The update is said to have been available as a manual download from the Verizon Wireless website since last Friday.
