Toshiba has been reported to be launching the industry's first 3D TV that will not require any glasses to view, later this year. The Yomiuri Shimbun has said that Toshiba have a new system for their TV's that "emits a number of rays of light with various angles from the screen so that viewers can see stereoscopic images without glasses"
The Yomiuri Shimbun has also said that Toshiba will be launching three models "before Christmas". There are few other details available at the moment, although the models are expected to be in the "several thousand dollars" price range.
There has been no official statement from Toshiba themselves regarding the TVs as of yet. So will this new 3D TV make all other opposition obsolete already? There is a definite appeal in having a 3D TV which doesn't require wearing special glasses. Leave your thoughts below.

i by no means anticipated 3d technology to take off so much. I’ve been reading a great deal in the media latley about products that are shortly to be introduced. 3d will be everywhere in the future.
