Toshiba has been reported to be launching the industry's first 3D TV that will not require any glasses to view, later this year. The Yomiuri Shimbun has also said that Toshiba will be launching three models "before Christmas". There are few other details available at the moment, although the models are expected to be in the "several thousand dollars" price range.

There has been no official statement from Toshiba themselves regarding the TVs as of yet. So will this new 3D TV make all other opposition obsolete already? There is a definite appeal in having a 3D TV which doesn't require wearing special glasses. Leave your thoughts below.
