Orange UK has launched two cute as button phones, Samsung Libre C3300 and Amsterdam. The main feature of both these phones is their touch screen. With this launch Orange is looking to capture the market segment which would appreciate the utility and ease of using the touchscreen but still is not willing to shell out tons of money for buying them. These phones are available under PAYG or Pay As You Go plan for 49 GBP. Sweet deal, isn't it?
As for the specs, these phones hardly have any chance of sweeping you off your feet, but still, Samsung Libre C3300 comes with a 2.4 inch display and accelerometer for auto-rotation. Apart from that, there is Samsung's TouchWIZ UI, which is pretty good for quick access to phone features and social networks. And yes, the usual Bluetooth connectivity, microSD card slot and 3.5 mm headset jack are also included. The phone is able to support up to 8GB of memory and sports mind-numbing 1.3 MP camera.
The second phone Orange Amsterdam may not be as sleek looking as Libre, but this phone comes with a side sliding QWERTY keyboard, which makes it a perfect phone for pathological texters and chat junkies. Like Libre, Amsterdam also features 2.4 inch QVGA touch screen display. So what do you say, Are you going to give these bad boys a try?
