If you splashed the cash when the iPad came out the a few months the only decision you need to make now is which case should you buy? After all, one of the worst feelings in the world is when you drop it by accident. For tech-heads the infamous Apple drop can be the worst thing in life. And if takes a knock or get scratched or worse, you smash the screen you'll probably hate yourself. And probably never forgive yourself for not buying a case with it.
Well, all is not lost if you invest in a case for you new iPad, Apple's own brand case is definetley worth looking at. With a soft Microfiber interior and reinforced panels the iPad case could well save your iPad from scratches, drops and spillages.
In essence the case turns your iPad into a hard back book, but with some clever origami folding it doubles up in just the right place to act as a stand that hold the iPad at a ideal angle for watching videos and slideshows or for typing on the onscreen keyboard.
The cover flap can be folded behind itself, allowing you a stand the iPad on a desk or even on your lap and gives you a decent viewing angle for typing and watching videos if your out and about.
But, with most Apple products it's not perfect, because it's an extremely snug fit. It's a struggle to put the iPad inside and even harder to pull it out without swearing a lot. You'll soon find this routine gets really old, really fast. Although our iPad hasn't left the snug confines of the case since day one and the iPad is more than safe if you just leave it in the case for good.
Once in the case, you can't use either of Apple docks, this might be a deal breaker for some. The case's material is a questionable as it attracts dust, scuffs and finger prints - but at least when you finally get it out of the snug-fitting case it's look pristine - so ever cloud has a silver lining.
When the case it stood up for viewing video, it's not the most sturdy, it's fine for a solid desk but might not fair to well on trains and other wobbly situations as it relies on the spine of the case to balance which is only a inch wide.
But, the typing angle it produces is fantastic and is the perfect angle when using it on your desk and is certainly the easiest way to type on the iPad so far.
If you have bought the iPad you can't go wrong with the official iPad case, it will keep your iPad clean, protected and will no doubt boost your productivity. We for one, have left our iPad in the case since we picked the tablet up on its release date and love it.
For £30 it's not the cheapest, but at least we can sleep well in the knowledge that your pride and joy is being kept safe and most importantly scratch-free. After all you buy Apple's products because they look the business and anything that keeps them looking in tip-top condition can't be a bad thing.

I’m still in limbo and can’t decide on a macbook or an ipad. If i choose ipad i will most definitely get this!
I had the dilemma of whether to buy a Mac iPad case or a third party one when I finally bought my iPad a few months ago. After weeks of scouting around all over the place I found that there was definitely a lack of colourful and interesting looking ones. I didn’t want to pay the hefty £30 price tag the Apple ones come with for just a plain black one but wanted one that would protect my iPad properly when I was moving around with it. Eventually I came across http://www.oliepops.com who were absolutely fantastic. I bought a floral embroidered one for just £30.99 with plenty of padding. The website was easy to use and the payment went through via Paypal and I received it the next day. They currently have an offer as well for 15% off everything if you use the promotional code “Issyâ€. Since finding this out, I have had another splurge in online shopping and bought myself a handbag organiser and camera case!
