The news of what Facebook location is and when it will be coming to the world's most popular social networking site has been circulating for while. It is looking more than imminent however, as many US tech journalists have been invited to attend a three-hour long update on the site's features and products at their HQ in Palo Alto on Wednesday.
Facebook seems to have planned to bring a location service to its site as far back as October, when it updated it's privacy policy to cater to the potential of one (this of course started multiple rumors of the features potential release). It wasn't until May however, that Mark Zuckerberg said that privacy concerns were delaying his location plans and then in June, he announced the Facebook location app was "coming soon".
It seems more than likely that Facebook location will be one of the event's main attractions on Wednesday, after various rumors and confirmed comments from company execs. However, another interesting feature that could be brought up is Facebook Questions; a feature anticipated to be very similar to Yahoo Answers and Aardvark. There is of course, also the potential of features being brought up that are yet to be revealed or leaked.
It is more than likely that Facebook Location will give users the opportunity to opt-in or out, so will you be using the service when it becomes available? Also, leave your thoughts on Facebook Question and what other potential features or updates may be like.
