Microsoft Announce Kinect European Date And Windows Mobile 7 Xbox Live Support

Microsoft have lifted the lid on the Kinect European launch date today, and confirmed Kinect will be available throughout all European territories on 10th November.

But they have still failed to decide on the official price - are they planning to sell cheaper than the £129.99 predicted price point? Probably not. But why they can't give an exact price does seem to suggest that they may be considering a lower price point.

The same 15 launch titles that were announced for the US release are pencilled in for European launch, with more of the games getting their first unveiling at German game expo Gamecom today.

"We are bringing the Kinect experience to Europe for the first time at gamescom because this is the biggest show in the region and we're committed to investing in Europe and the critical role it plays in Xbox's global success," said the European Xbox boss.

"With Kinect launching on November 10, it's set to not only transform our business but also change how we use entertainment.

"With Kinect, YOU become the controller, giving you the choice in how you and your friends navigate entertainment and gaming experiences. We're already seeing a high level of anticipation in Europe with sales of the Kinect ready Xbox 360 250GB creating an all-time record weekly market share."

Microsoft also announced their plans for the Windows Mobile 7 - outlining what they have planned for Xbox Live integration within the phone as well as a rather impressive line-up of games that are in production for the launch of the hotly anticipated phone.

All of the hallmarks of the service will be present on the phone including, Avatars, demos, leaderborads, Achievements, Friends, messaging, Spotlight and even multiplayer - which is said to be turn-based.

The Microsoft Games Studios have a torrent of games in the pip- line and look like they are trying to take on Apples mobile gaming dominance .

So what do think about Microsoft skirting around the price of Kinect? And does the list of games for their new Window Mobile 7 tempt you away from the world of Android and Apple ? Let us know below.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
