HTC set to host mystery event in London (Sep 15th) What are they planning?

HTC are getting the tech-world in a flap. They've announced a mysterious event on September 15th in London. Various tech-sperts and gadget press have been invited to the event. There's no information available beyond the smoky 'teaser image' below and unless HTC are moving into the smoke machine industry, the door is wide open for speculation.

Suggestions doing the rounds on various tech blogs at the moment include a Windows Phone 7 launch, which would fit in with the October 2010 release date of a Windows phone 7, so we could be seeing HTC Mozart or a HTC some classical composer or other.

Or a HTC Desire HD launch (Engadget played around with the smokey image and revealed a 'hidden image' which 'looks like the Desire handset' though this seems like a slightly tenuous link and could not mean anything, but you never know.

Other suggestions include the launch of the HTC vision. It could of course be something far beyond our wildest dream but we'll have to wait until September to find out.

What do you think HTC are planning?

My guess would be a Motorola Droid X beater; or a DELL Streak smasher; or an ACER Stream wipeout.

Each sold with a great Bluetooth headset; and available on Vodaphone, 3 Mobile, and at least 2 more networks.

Oh, and by the way … £20/month for 300 minutes, 300 texts and Unlimited Internet would suit the Silver Surfer Senior market to which I belong very nicely thankyou.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
