Sex and Smartphones: iPhone Owners Have Twice as Many Partners as Android Users?

If you're a high-end handset kind of person then listen close.  After an online study by the online dating service OKCupid.com, it has been revealed that owning an Apple iPhone can get you twice as many sexual partners compared to the less fortunate Android owners.

The study has shown that by the age of 30, male iPhone users can't keep their Smartphone in their trousers, having had on average 10 different sexual partners as opposed to Android's inferior 6. Owners of the Blackberry can feel less threatened holding the middle ground with a safe 8.1 partners to their name.

Female iPhone users who have hit age 30 are again on top with an average of 12.3 partners, twice as many as Android women who average 6.1 sexual partners. Again, Blackberry lovers take the silver with an 8.8 average.

Slightly pessimistic towards most statistics and surveys I'd have to say that these statistics shouldn't be taken to heart and are just a plain bit of fun linking two very unrelated things. OkCupid's Christian Rudder enjoyed bringing humour to the situation saying the results are, "Finally, statistical proof that iPhone users aren't just getting f***ed by Apple."

What are your opinions of the findings? Are all your iPhone mates getting lucky while your Android is scaring them away? Leave your comments (or stories if you have them) below.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
