A leak of the Dell Thunder smartphone seems to confirm the rumoured specs that have been floating around. The video (on engadget) shows a reported 'prototype' of the Thunder handset with an 8 megapixel camera complete with LED flash and 720p video capture capabilities. Plus a 1,400mAh battery. Screen resolution is purportedly 800 x 480 or higher and the screen's 4.1-inch display looks to be of the OLED variety as was expected.
To compete with the Samsung S the device is going to need at least 512MB of memory and Bluetooth 3.0 as standard and a very high quality screen.
Word is that the Thunder will work alongside the soon to be released Dell Streak and that the two will receive Android updates at the same time. The Thunder is also likely to share its big brother's 1GHZ Snapdragon processor which is said to be slightly inferior to Samsungs Hummingbird processor.
Regardless of its similarities and differences with the Samsung S and and any other smartphones on the market, the Thunder looks like it's going to be a great handset and should sell well and alongside the Streak, Dell will have some strong handsets in the smartphone arena.
