When Verizon had officially announced the Motorola Droid 2 earlier this week there was a little rumour connected, that there would be a limited edition Star Wars themed handset too.
Well now its official and you can show your interest in the smartphone now. As well as the standard Droid handset an R2-D2 version is also hitting the online stores.
To try and land yourself a rare piece of Star Wars memorabilia and a pretty cool phone head over to the Droid landing page which has been set up so that you can register interest in the device.
Plus Phonoarena.com have managed to get hold of a sneaky photo of the R2-D2 phone (below) so you can see it in all its robotic glory. The back features the robot's white, silver and blue panels and the camera lens mimics the Astromech Droid's eye.
