Samsung Galaxy Tablet Breaks Cover

Samsung's Galaxy Tablet looks like it is finally ready to break cover, as it will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the IFA conference in September.

Final specs are yet to be confirmed but we have had a look at our crystal ball at Gaj-it HQ and we think that it will come will a 7-inch AMOLED, 16 GB on-board storage. And with the Samsung Froyo update due in September, we'd expect the Samsung Galaxy tablet to also come with Android 2.2.

Other details which are yet to be announced, is the name - it could be the Galaxy Tablet S or more surprisingly the Samsung Galaxy Tape - just for the for the far east we hope.

Samsung sources says the Samsung Galaxy Tablet will be on show besides a new Samsung smart TV, which will come with a load of new TV apps, apparently which is the future of new TV's, in case you didn’t know.

We were promised a September arrival for the Samsung Galaxy tablet last month, so it makes sense that we'll see it on show at IFA.

Let’s hope that it become a viable alternative to the iPad, which is dominating the tablet market as we speak.

Let us know: does the Samsung Galaxy tablet sound like the Android slate of your dreams? Or is the iPad still the one for you?
