Motorola Droid 2 Release Date Leaked As Early As Next Week?

Although its existence may not be the best kept secret, the Motorola Droid 2 has not had any official release dates revealed to the public yet. However, thanks to a leaked screenshot revealed on Don't Hate the Geek, Android Spin is saying that the Motorola Droid 2 could be coming in just over a weeks time. The leaked image (shown below) shows a document of the events that will happen before the launch. Although no month is shown, the 10, 10, 11 and 12 on the left of the image are likely to be the dates for these events.

On the 10th it seems the Droid 2 will be publicly announced, along with the price and launch date. On that same day it also seems devices will be sent to reporters and active and available (although not merchandised) in stores. The following day shows that the Droid 2 will be available for online only pre-sale.

Finally, the 12th seems to be the commercial launch of the Droid 2, presumably ready to be sold hand-to-hand at retailers. No other information is available about the launch currently, but it has been speculated that Verizon will be pushing the Droid 2, just like its predecessor (the original Droid).

Are you excited about the potential of a very close launch of the Droid 2? Anything else to make of this leaked image? Leave your thoughts below.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
