Tablet PCs are set to be a huge section of the tech industry and after Apple paved the way with the ground-breaking iPad, now everybody wants to be an Apple contender.
The latest in a line of touch-pad devices is a promising looking prototype by Pegatron. Branded the MasterPad, Window's latest attempt to take away Apple's glory comes with Windows 7, an 11.6-inch IPS screen with 1,366 x 768 widescreen resolution, 1080p video playback and Flash compatibility plus a 1.3 megapixel webcam and two mics.
In comparison to the somewhat feature-less iPad, 'Materpad' really shines with its features such as two USB ports, a memory card reader, an accelerometer and mini-HDMI port and of course 3G compatibility, Impressive stuff. All encased within a magnesium and aluminium alloy body, weighing in at 990 grams.
But, as usual, there are some weak points which are bound to put off some consumers, such as the frankly rubbish 2-cell battery that can only offer a maximum 5 hours of use and the 1.66GHz Atom N450 CPU. These are the types of specs that push possible Windows users to Apple.
Have Apple got something to worry about or is this just another iPad 'wannabe'? Leave us your thought below…
