HTC Desire to Get Android 2.2 Update Tomorrow

If you’re a Nexus One owner, then you will be probably bragging about how great Android 2.2 Froyo is working on your phone. Well, it has been announced by the guys over at HTC, that HTC Desire users should also have something to boast about as it has been revealed that they should also be getting an the Android 2.2 tomorrow.

In a tweet, Mark Moons, who is Regional Director of HTC Benelux reported that:

“We beginnen vanaf morgen met de upgrades naar Android 2.2 voor Desire, later meer devices"

Which translated in English means…

“We start tomorrow with the upgrades to 2.2 for Android Desire, later devices”

This is great news for ‘some’ HTC Desire owners. The reason why I have highlighted ‘some’ is because Moons has suggested that tomorrows update "does not mean everyone gets [it] directly tomorrow…there is a bandwidth limit." So sorry all you HTC Desire folks, some of you might just have to wait a little longer than tomorrow to get your update but nonetheless, it good news that you know it is coming to your phones soon!

Are you a HTC Desire owner? Are you looking forward to getting the HTC Froyo update tomorrow? Leave us your thoughts below…

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
