Microsoft Kinect November 19th UK Release Date?

Microsoft's new fangled movement controller Kinect, has had its release date leaked by Play.com and HMV.com.

Although no official word has emerged regarding its release date from Microsoft, we would imagine that this date is right, as it is just time for the big holiday rush.

If you have been living under a rock and haven't heard of Kinect it looks to bring controller-less gaming to the world and will be bundled with the new slim 4GB Xbox for £250 this Christmas.

Available as a standalone accessory, Microsoft Kinect is set to cost wannabe users £129.99 when it is launched in time for the pre-Christmas shopping stampede.

The price for Kinect has certainly got the gaming industry into a giant debate and everyone seems to have opinion on whether it is a bit too expensive.

Although a number of industry experts seem to think that retailers and or Microsoft will be quick to cut the price if it doesn't fly off the shelves.

Kinect will come with a free game in the form of Kinect Adventures - we suppose that success or failure of Kinect is the quality of games and we think they are going to be a step above Nintendo's Wii part games, although 39.99 price for these games does seem quite steep.

Has Microsoft made a colossal mistake with the price? Let us know below.

  • Yes they have made a mistake. The Kinect sensor alone should have been prices around £79.99 and with the packaged game, £99.99. £130 is near the price of buying a whole new console!!! The Arcade version!

    Hi,

I believe that they have made a grave mistake, I would have thought similar to the post around £80.00 mark, they are just becoming a little greedy with their pricing structure, I will NOT be paying that kind of money, they need to cut zabout £50.00 off that rrp.

    thanks
