The e-book reader war is just heating up, and this time it is Amazon who is getting the last laugh. It turns out that the online retailing giant has managed to secure an interesting book deal which could blow Apple and Barnes & Noble out of the water.
It has been announced that Amazon have agreed a deal with Andrew Wylie to exclusively publish books online by the famous authors that he’s represented. The deal gives the Kindle store exclusive rights to to authors such as Norman Mailer, John Updike and 18 other writers.
However, it is not all good news for Amazon as it has been revealed that Random House who normally publish some of the authors listed are kicking up a fuss saying the special deal is being done without their consent, so watch this space folks for more information…
