It has been just announced that the Chris Moyles Facebook fan page has reached 1 million followers. A status update was left on Chris Moyles Facebook wall in which the good news was revealed:
“We DID it! Over 1 MILLION followers on Facebook! Thank you – and welcome to the show page :) – The Chris Moyles Show”
Just to show its ever growing popularity, the status update which was posted 50 minutes ago (and since writing this article), has received 1,010 likes and 155 comments!
The Chris Moyles Show is the popular BBC radio show which is a lot of peoples early morning wake up as they head out to work on the weekdays.
1 million Facebook followers is certain to shut the critics up as recently, Chris Moyles was reported to be axed because of the shows producers thought that the presenter was too old for the show visitors as well as being involved in large controversies such as trouble with ill judged comments included a joke which was about the Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz.
However, just before we thought a million was enough, it would appear that singer Lady Gaga has over 10 million fans on Facebook, beating U.S. President Obama who has nearly 700,000 fans following. Only the king of Pop Michael Jackson has the most number of Facebook fans with 1500000.
So if Chris Moyles wants to increase his Facebook followers to reach more than a million, then what tips should he take off the likes of Lady Gaga? Well, Lady Gaga regularly updates her page by herself or her ghost writer, which helps to keep her Facebook followers and new followers exploring her fan page.

I absolutely LOVE The Chris Moyles Show, their humor fits me so well. The demographic is so wide; kids a school listen and people my age, 24 … [okay, 32 ;)] like it too. I can’t believe that some of the younger listeners would understand half the jokes, as they are all based around the team’s age range, but they must – otherwise they’d go elsewhere.
I think Chris is hilarious when people text in to the show and slag the show off. He tells them to turn off or go to a rival radio station – because he knows full well that they won’t.
I record the first hour and last hour of the show and listen to the middle on the way to work. The Tune-In Radio App on the iPhone is great for this – especially as now it works in the background on iOS4 :)
