The Funcom co-founder as well as game director Gaute Godage has left the MMO developer company because according to reports has become “dissatisfied” with certain elements of Massive Multiplayer Online Game Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures.
While talking to an official press released he has gone on record saying
“I have done my very best making this fabulous game, but I have concluded there are elements which I am dissatisfied with. I have decided to act on this, and as a result I have chosen to leave Funcom.”
But it seems Funcom have not been fazed by this what so ever with the announcement coming soon after that Gaute Godage has been replaced by Anarchy Online producer Craig Morrison.
To this Gaute Godage replied with the following
“It is time to get new, fresh eyes on Age of Conan, and I wholeheartedly support the appointment of Craig,” Godage continued. “Funcom and Conan will always be a big part of me, but as I now look to new ventures outside the gaming industry I am certain Age of Conan’s future is in the best of hands.”
So with the Age of Conan franchise in another set of hands what will this mean for the rather popular MMO despite its mixed reviews, we shall see.

I wander what this will mean for AoC? Of course it may not matter. Everybody is expendable after all. Cynical but true.
