iPhone 4 reception problems may be the least of your worries especially as one customer reported that their iPhone 4 caught of fire thanks to a defective USB port.
Boy Genius Report managed to get some pictures of the an iPhone 4 burnt at the USB port, with the USB cable looking like it had actually melted. It has been reported that the cable actually melted because of extreme heat which erupted from the connection.
The customer reported that all he did was simply plug in the cable and the unit caught on fire, which managed to burn his hand slightly. He went in store to ask for a replacement and unsurprisingly the store was out of stock!
The Apple store did confirm that it was in fact a faulty USB port and not caused by the customer so we are hoping that this incident is not likely to happen again.

Apple sold 1.7 million of these in the 1st 3 days.
Even if we were only 3 days in and Apple had “only” sold 1.7 million units.
1 failure in 1.7 million is amazing for a mass produced item.
Secondly, let’s look closely at the lead, is it a genuine Apple lead?
In the picture the connection is actually upside down to how it should be inserted into the phone, did he force it in upside down?
The lead end is discoloured more on the outside suggesting it was heated from the outside.
There was enough heat (from a 5 volt, 0.5 amp connection) to melt the head of the cable BUT the plastic on the front and back of the phone aren’t even discoloured, let alone melted and even the screen protector is undamaged.
Attention seeking again from BGR.
I’m sick of the Apple Fan boy Fags.
