Unofficial Flash Workaround Coming to Jailbroken iPads

If you have taken your iPad to the dark side then you’ll be happy to hear that the enterprising Comex has started building a workaround to put Flash onto Apple’s iPad tablet.

Frash, as it is aptly called, will let users watch flash videos on their iPads when installed on a jailbroken iPad. Steve Jobs recently dismissed Flash as a dying tech (much to iPad users dismay), claiming that it was too much of battery drain for Apple.

Commex plans to release a version of Frash for iPod and iPhone 3GS/$ devices, and a version for the newly released IOS4 soon too. As it stands it’s still only being tested on the iPad. We’ll let you know when it gets a general public release.

Do you miss Flash on your Apple devices and would you be willing to jailbreak your device just for the privilege ? Have your say below….

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
