Google’s Facebook Killer “Google Me” Confirmed By Former Facebook CTO

After rumourmonger Kevin Rose tweeted news of a new Google social network called Google Me, their former-CTO has jumped into the fray and confirmed that it is a “real project”.

Adam D’Angelo, who has since left Facebook and founded Quora, wrote that not only is it not a rumour, he has said that many people are working on it and he added he is “completely confident about this.”

According to D’Angelo, Google learned a lot from Buzz and other projects that didn’t take-off, “they realized that Buzz wasn’t enough and that they need to build out a full, first-class social network. They are modelling it off of Facebook.”

So if the rumours are true, so what would you want to see in a new social network? Leave us your thoughts below…

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
