Apps Developers Favour Apple’s iOS Over Android and Windows

Microsoft and Google have been having a hard time trying to entice developers on the Windows Phone and Android platform. However this is not the same story for Apple as their iOS has such a strong user base already that developers deem Apple's operating system to be the only one which is 'commercially viable.'

Developers including Chillingo (the creators of the whopping 4 million times downloaded Angry Birds game) are said to have declined offers from both Microsoft and Google.

And now the rumour is that Microsoft and Google, desperate to attract app developers have begun to offer incentives (in the form of cash.) Chillingo (who claim to receive daily offers from Microsoft and Google) have declined but will other Developers be easier to please? At the moment it seems that whilst Apple have the monopoly, developers will favour them in order to target mass market sales.

Maybe it will only take one or two big developers to move to Microsoft or Google before it becomes a domino effect. What do you think?  Do you think Apple will still hold the crown for developers?  Leave us your thoughts below…

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
