Sir Richard Branson made a surprised visit to E3 this week in true Virgin Style, as he turned up being flanked by an armoured truck with a $1million dollars in cash. This was all because Virgin are making a welcomed return to the games industry but they won’t be making games.

There are plenty of tournament leagues out there for the pros, but we created Virgin Gaming as a platform for all gamers to have the experience of playing each other with more at stake than just pride."
Richard Branson who admits to being a gamer-in-training added: "Gamers want something new, something interactive and something fun. Virgin Gaming is just that - access to play the best games in super competitive tournaments with anyone in the world and win the biggest prizes and the most rewards. We've had great success with Virgin Games and Virgin Interactive Entertainment and recognized the enormous potential of an online community of 40 million daily users. I welcome gamers from novice to expert to join the online Virgin Gaming community."

The idea’s good but who pay’s for the ticket?
Basically the website act as a place to meet and set up matches – not sure where the money comes from, but it would seem you place bets on the outcome – we’ve signed up but are still waiting for the confirmation so we can’t confirm this – its been a few hours and still no email – suppose it’s a waiting game now.
But it does say this on the site “IT PAYS TO HAVE GAMEâ„¢
All members can play for free at Virgin Gaming. When you are ready to put your controller where your mouth is, you can easily fund your account through PayPal and all major credit cards.
If you manage to get signed up let us know what the deal is and how much you get back for the money spent.
