The Unofficial Apple website is reporting that a member of the UK public has been able to get the iPhone to work on a UK network months before it is meant to be released.
Suposedly this jammy ‘so and so’ got himself an AT&T SIM card and iPhone, from eBay. By using IASign trick which allows you to generate a valid SIM activation, the guy put the AT&T SIM into his 02 XDA handset, took it to Vodafone, got them to add it to his contract and then just swapped his new Vodafone card into his iPhone and ‘abora codaborra’…it worked!
Visual voicemail doesn’t work and neither does the web browsing, but he has reported he’s using the phone to make calls and texts.
Although I commend this person for proving all the sceptics wrong that the phone can not be hacked into, the fact that only text and calling works I think I’m going to wait until it officially comes out in the UK where I will be certain I’ll be getting the full package rather than itsy bitsy parts of it which will just spoil the suprise!

I read something about this the other day. I am thinking it won’t be to long before they get a hack that will have some of the other features in it.
