A few weeks back, Vodafone posted a page on their website which revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S will be released exclusively to them in the UK very soon. Well, since this piece of news there is has been very little said about the phone, until now that is.
It has been reported that the Samsung Galaxy S is set to launch in 110 countries around the globe on the same day as the UK launch. Now an exact date has not been confirmed but many believe it could be sometime this month.
So what’s so special about the Samsung Galaxy S? Well, the ‘S’ in the name certainly lives up to the features and specs on the phone as a super smartphone.
You can enjoy crystal clear moments with the phone's rather large 4" Super AMOLED touch screen display. It is also know to be super fast, possibly 3 times faster than the Google Nexus One due to the Hummingbird Chip that is used inside. As well as this, the phone is packed with a healthy 16GB of storage, which can be increased to 48GB using the expandable microSD card.
If you want to sign up to updates on when the Galaxy S will be launched head over to Vodafone site now.

As I have been informed by a few retailers of sim free handsets among other things, the Galaxy S 16gb will be exclusive to Vodafone for pay-monthly contract sales in the UK.
However the 8GB version of the handset will not be exclusive to Vodafone and mobile phone sellers are expecting that it will be available to oter networks, and of course sim-free in the weeks that follow the inital launch.
I’m a present Omnia (910) user on Verizon who was very disappointed with Windows Mobile 6.1 and Samsung’s shell. Wound up acquiring SPB Mobile Shell to get a usable interface and had to abandon Exchange electronic mail because of security restrictions. In essence anytime you tried to location or obtain a call, you had to enter your PIN and I was missing calls as a outcome. As a final point made the decision to abandon smartphones for that time getting (economic factors) and wait for an excellent Android unit. The Galaxy S (Facinate) need to fit the bill. Disappointed to hear from the GPS issues. Let me add that Verizon’s 3G service was excellent all through and I eventually stopped employing WiFi simply because V3G was a lot rapidly sufficient for me.Interestingly, I’m applying the Omnia to be a wireless device all-around the house for checking e-mail, Twitter, Facebook and basic browsing. But not as a telephone!
