Overview:
Touchscreen smartphones may be all the rage right now, but if you're in the market for a phone that functions as a phone (which let's face it, some touchscreen devices struggle with) then the Nokia 2720 Fold may be just what you need. Does it pack any extra features though? Let's find out.
Review:
Rejecting the touchscreen handset doesn't mean you have to have a boring-looking phone, and the Nokia 2720 Fold is a prime example of that.
From the start, its sleek, shiny chassis is a design-winner, and makes it look like a handset both guys and girls wouldn't mind pulling out of their pocket.
The only downside to the high-gloss finish is that your fingerprints remain on the casing long after you've put the phone down.
Adding to its style-cred is the keypad, which sits flush against the phone.
We've already established that this isn't a high-end phone, and the price tag reflects that, with deals starting from £10 a month over at MobileShop.com.
The phone feels sturdy to open and close, which makes us feel confident that the flip mechanism will last for the long haul.
The 1.8 inch screen is on the small side, but displays pretty good graphics at 128×160-pixel resolution and 65,000 colours.
Nokia has included an external screen, so that you don't need to flip open the 2720 Fold to see who's calling you. The black and white outside screen is 1.36 inches and displays the time.
The 2720 Fold will store up to 500 contacts, allowing you to organise your mates by group. You can also allocate a photo for each contact.
Nokia has thrown in 16 polyphonic ringtones and 8 alert sounds for you to select from.
Feature-wise, you get a 1.3 megapixel camera which will also record video at 3GP clips up to 2 minutes. It also comes with a self-timer and 4x digital zoom.
What is missing is a flash, but like we said, this device is first and foremost a phone, leaving the fancy photo-taking capabilities to a device dedicated as a camera.
The music player on the 2720 Fold works really well, and even packs an FM radio for when your Britney collection gets a bit monotonous.
Music controls include repeat, shuffle and mute.
This handset has the surprising bonus of Bluetooth connectivity, so you can use it in the car on your drive to work.
The 2720 Fold also has access to Nokia Life Tools and basic internet, which allows you to keep tabs on your emails.
The Gaj-It Verdict:
Design: 8/10
Usability: 7/10
Features: 7/10
Value: 8/10
We Say:
The Nokia 2720 Fold is one of the cheapest handsets out on the market at the moment, and it does exactly what you would want a mobile phone to do- connect you with people. It's mirrored gloss gives it a sophisticated look, and there are some surprising extra features on the device for you to play around with.

It is a great little phone However- there is no USB cable as mostly all other Nokia phones have and for someone who is not up with Bluetooth how do you download all the pictures you are sent to your computer? Great little phone-shame about the necessary accessories.
The music player’s shuffle function is a dubious benefit considering there’s only enough memory to store 2 songs!
Wow…
This is the perfect gadget for anyone who wants to buy phone..
Accually I’ll buy it but I don’t have money..hahaha
