Hotmail has been around for years, however it has been a while since it has received a major update. That is until now as Microsoft Hotmail are expected to be releasing their new version during July/August.
So what new things will we see from the hotter than hot Hotmail service? One of new improvements will be the ability to present date in a much more friendly way, so if you paste a YouTube video link into your message then it will present you with a preview which you can play directly from Hotmail. Apart from videos this also works with maps, web pages and photos.
For Windows Live Messenger, the new update will allow for simultaneous instant messaging conversations with multiple contacts at once.
There will also be integration with the new Office suite, allowing you to make changes to documents, powerpoint presentations and spreadsheets using their online apps.
Another neat feature will be that Hotmail will offer the option of turning data heavy attachments into temporary SkyDrive link. Recipients of the message will be sent a link that can download when they choose, which will not clog up their inboxes.
