Orange Confirm UK Pricing for iPad WiFi and 3G Models

Since the pricing and release date for the iPad was revealed this morning it would appear that Orange have also announced their data plans for the 3G iPad, which appear will to be based on a ‘pay as you go’ system.

Orange will charge customers 5 pence per every MB used each month, so therefore on Orange’s most basic plan of 250MB used it will cost customers ($14.99) £12.50 per month. This is a little bit more expensive to what AT&T customers in the US are paying at the moment on the same basic plan, which is £10 per month.

Also, Orange will offer an unlimited data deal for the iPad which will cost customers £40 per month, but compared to the AT&T unlimited data deal in the US which is $29.99 (£20), I am tempted to see what Vodafone and O2 will be offering before I commit to signing up.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
