Flip Mino HD Hits the UK Next Month

Budding filmmakers on a budget can rejoice as Flip has announced it will release its new Mino HD on 8 April in the UK.

This new version of the mini camcorder will still fit easily into your pocket and is easy enough for nan to use, by recording at the press of a big red button.

The new Mino HD will shoot in HD ready 720p, which is pretty impressive for the little thing, but falls a bit short of Toshiba's Camileo S10, which supports full HD mode.

Flip hasn't exactly dropped the ball though with its new offering, providing an increased 8GB storage, which will house up to two hours of HD recording.

The Mino HD also comes with a larger anti-reflective screen than its predecessors, measuring in at 2 inches so you can actually see what it is you're filming, which is a nice touch really.

To get your creative masterpiece onto the big screen, the Mini HD comes with an HDMI port so you can view your movies straight from camera to HD TV.

The flip-out USB connector makes further uploading films to your PC a piece of cake.

On the surface, the new Mino HD is pleasing on the eye and feels pretty good too with its solid aluminum casing.

Priced at £179.99, the Mino HD isn't exactly bargain of the year, but you do get quite a nifty little gadget for your money that may come in handy more times than you originally think.

Do you use camcorders or your mobile phone to shoot most movies? Leave us a comment and let us know.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
