iPhone 4G to be Named iPhone HD? Apple Leaked Video?

iphone 4g or iphone hdAccording to a new commercial revealed on YouTube, the highly anticipated and rumoured iPhone 4G may actually be named the iPhone HD.

The video shows the new phone with a radically new chassis and is expected to have a higher powered camera, possibly a front facing camera for video calls and self portrait photography, however how much of this is believable?

I know we discussed a few weeks back that the 4G data chips would not be ready for when the iPhone 4G is set to be released this summer, which could mean a possible delay on the iPhone 4G or just a revised name, but I can't see Apple calling their next iPhone, the iPhone HD.

As well as this, if you take a look at the design of the iPhone HD, it looks completely different to the current iPhone on the market.  Surely Apple wouldn’t want to change their super sleek design to the one shown in the video with a more chunky back?

There are a lot of rumours and speculations regarding Apple next generation iPhone, however with Apple’s long history of remaining tight lipped about the up and coming release of their products into the marketplace, I can’t really see them leaking a video like this regarding their next iPhone. Now where would be fun be in that?!

What do you think of the rumours? Does it looks likely that Apple may have accidentally leaked this information or is it just another Apple fanboy getting over excited about the rumours regarding iPhone 4G HD features? Check out the video below for yourselves and leave us a comment to let us know what you think…

  • As usual Apple didn’t had any leak what so ever, this is only the work of some desperate peoples trying to get media attention…

The All New iPhone Design & Feature is also a fake, since when apple has use and old picture on the screen of a new iPhone, pay attention to details like Apple always does, We have always been able to differentiate the versions of all iPhone and iPod Touch only by looking at the picture on the screen…

One thing is for sure, this iPhone 4G ad is not for real, there is no way Apple would go for such a bad design iPhone, it’s really ugly….

About the 4G chip, where would we use this 4G communication chip?
The is still no carrier that has any hardware able to support those speed, there is also the power consumption in stake here…The carriers should begin by being able to handle the bandwidth demand on 3G then we’ll see about 4G and/or LTE…

No home button and please don’t try to sell me the tiny needle point black thing at the bottom that look like a microphone, no place for proximity sensor, no place for the video call camera…
As for the name of the soon to be release device, please stop speculate about it and wait you’ll see soon enough…

  • I’m leaning toward fake but it would be awesome if it were real.

  • selfsilent

The fact that the video is still available leads me to believe that it is fake. Apple are quick to come down on stuff like this.

  • I think that this iphone commercial may actually be real. All of the additional features are almost guranteed to be in the next iPhone anyway (better camera, front facing camera, multi tasking, better battery). Hardware-wise, i also think that it looks quite nice. I think its a good marketing ploy by Apple to be ‘leaking’ the video (especially as a host of android based phones are about to be released). Also, it whets the appetite of many iphone owners (like myself) who are out of contract and waiting for the next release.

  • In my own opinion, this seems to be just another person who is pretty much excited about the rumored 4G Iphone. Ever since, Apple has always been silent with their development. However, some of the features may possibly be true but I do not think Apple will be careless enough to leak an information like this.

  • Proof that video is fake:
    (1) : The font lettering in “the most social iPhone”
is not accurate with Apple’s official version.
    (2) : The music used in this advert has not been edited
the usual way Apple consistently do. The track cuts off
right at the end: usually Apple leave a high point
and edit an empty filler at the last second to make it
    sound better.

A good fake video, but attention to detail on this shows
    the production flaws. Good try!

  • This is fake haven’t any of you seen the prototype pictures on gizmodo. They have a video thats not animated and have been sued by apple, plus apple requested the prototype back because had been reported stolen. There is a hole article on it just go to http://www.gizmodo.com/tag/iphone4/

  • Not too sure if it will be called this yet, we’ll find out tomorrow or this week anyway. I prefer iPhone HD but we’ll see and the last part of that advert, the sign for iPhone HD looked realistic and something apple could actually use.

    Can’t wait now!

  • iPhone 4 still a very nice phone despite its antena problem. I’ve got my new case yesterday
