Nokia Cseries is the latest addition of Nokia 'Series' devices to be hitting the market shortly. The Cseries follows on from the same naming pattern as the other ‘series’ in this family, which include the Nseries, Xseries and Eseries devices.
The new naming convention is designed to make things easier for customers so they can quickly work out what each handset in the series has to offer. As well as the letters, the 1-9 numbering system represents 1 - being the cheapest and 9 - being the most expensive but higher end.
The NSeries is said to be the most advanced range of products, followed by the Xseries which focuses on social entertainment. The last two of the bunch, the Eseries is focused is more on businesses and practicality and the last and most recent addition is the Cseries which represents the core range of products.
At present the Xseries are the only handsets available on the market (look out for our Nokia X6 review shortly on the Gaj-it), however the Nokia have confirmed that N and the E series will be launching soon too. For the Nokia CSeries it has been suggested that these could be unveiled at this week's Cebits show in Germany with the Nokia C5 being one of the first.
What do you think about Nokia’s ‘Series’ devices? Do you think this naming pattern is a step in the right direction to make it easier for customers to pick the right phone for them? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think…
