I love a good eco gadget and this one is no exception. The Solar Powered Rucksack features an integrated solar panel on the back, cleverly allowing for the sun to charge your mobile phone while you’re out and about. You don’t necessarily need to be a marathon runner, as you can wear this backpack while you’re standing in the sun having a drink with mates and it will fully charge your mobile in about 3 hours.
Unlike other models, this solar backpack includes pre-installed rechargeable lithium batteries, so even if you’re not actually charging a device, the solar power is continually charging the battery and storing up energy for when you need it.
The nifty thing with the battery is that you can take it out of the bag to use as a standalone mini portable power pack. If the weather hasn’t been that great, you also have the option of charging it via your computers USB port.
The cable from the solar panel hides snugly inside the bag to a special ‘gadget charging’ section. The rucksack comes complete with 10 standard adapters to fit common mobile phones and other hand held devices (see full list).
The bag itself is made of hard wearing material, and the solar panels are waterproof, scratch resistant, and UV resistant meaning you can throw this bag around just like you would any other back pack.
